Hermit is back!
That is the best part of my news for today. We had a little date (out to eat) and then he went to sleep. He's pretty worn out. (He's been at the hospital with his dad for the past 3 days) His dad got released today and is doing a lot better. The gallstone that got removed was the size of a man's fist!!! :faint:
I've been running a few errands each day, whittling down my TO DO list. It's getting shorter I'm happy to say. I'm still not feeling that great, I just am tired of being so behind on everything that I'm making sure I do some stuff each day. Perhaps this isn't the best idea but it needs to be done. I have hayfever now too. I'm so thrilled. It happens every year. Allergies! Bah!
Something strange happened today. I was sleeping nicely when something woke me. I opened my eyes a bit, not knowing what it was. Sitting across from me, sitting up and staring me dead in the eye was Magnus. Before I had a thought, Bella thumped me on the head again. I don't know if I dreamed this part but I opened my eyes and turned my head to look at Bella. Bella and Magnus looked at each other. Odd, very odd.
One hour later….
Again I was sleeping (I didn't get up when they woke me the first time). Suddenly they are both on my head rolling and wrestling. They seemed to be playing and I tried to ignore them but for some reason, my head was where they wanted to play. Have they done this before? No. Do I have a giant head ideal for canine sparing matches? I think not.
I'm telling you, they are plotting on me! They have joined forces to "accidentally" wake me so that they can eat. They are smart…too smart. What will they figure out next?

Isn't it just cool that they team up like that?! I think it's brilliant. Clever little sweeties. :DI agree that allergies suck. Mine aren't well right now either.

:eyes: I think you're right about the plotting! And yes – allergies suck big time!

He used to chew on my hands too when he was young, but then Libby was here and she was the dominate dog. Now Magnus is the dominant one, so I think he's behind it. Plus the way he was just sitting there staring at me… weird.

Bella does like to chew on my hands a lot. :left::eyes:

I really think Magnus has recruited Bella to do his bidding and that includes working me for food! But you didn't hear that from me… just in case… they've hacked into my blog.

Until they don't plan to eat you, I would not worry.
LorenzoCelsi said:
Then maybe it is Bella that convinced Magnus you are tasty.
LorenzoCelsi said:
I confirm my theory that dogs should be attached to the sleight.
Hermitess said:
Then you have a whole pack of large, very athletic dogs that can work together to plot on you, instead of two little ones that sleep most of the day. :insane:
LorenzoCelsi said:
Or you must have a very small sleight :)Or maybe 100 dogs the size of Magnus and Bella, all attached the sleight. They don't plot on you if you walk around with an axe.

How funny! I had a major shock one morning when I was awaking from sleep, dimly aware that a dog was looking down at me. I put my hand out, expecting to feel Kelly, and instead it was Leila, my parents' 11 stone Leonberger! And she looks three times as big as usual with her forepaws on the bed looking down straight into your face :faint:

Which reminds me of the military service and the anti-drug german sheperd who woke me up one night licking my face in the complete darkness while he was inspecting the barracks. 🙂

:lol:I wonder what they think they are doing. Once when we were camping a dog attacked me while we were all asleep. sam had to beat it off of me. Fortunately (thanks God!) I had scrunched down with my head under the sleeping bag because I was cold. The dog jumped on my head but didn't hurt me because of the bag in between us and I slid further down after it jumped on me and went crazy. Then it sat and growled at us for several minutes before we could get away from it.Stupid dog.Yay Sam! You're my hero!

I guess dogs think it is not normal that you are asleep while they are up and ready to play, so they wake you up.
Hermitess said:
Perhaps! They wake me for treats too. Magnus usually wakes me more gently than wrestling on my head. 😆 Manners children. What should I expect? They run in the house, don't use their inside voices, eat off the floor, and dont put their toys up. :doh:Adele, I think that would be kind of unnerving to have such a large dog staring at you while you sleep!

My girls do the staring at you while your asleep. They especially do it to my hubby. Me they stare at and wake up. Try having a 100 lb. dog land on you.

😆 You people and your horse-dogs! :p

Yes they are mini horses and we're not zoned for them. :p 😆
